Anniohaseyo! I still miss the weather in Korea, though it was freezing. Anyway i am so happy that i only gained one kg. Haha. Okay, this's dumb. I took a total of 382 pics there, which 131 of them were about the Teddies in the Teddy Museum<3. I love the Teddy Museum! My dad took a grand total of 540 photos there! Okay, i will stop babbling now. Hobey-ho, here we go!(......)

4/12
Reached the airport at around 8pm and went to eat. My father wanted to go to the hawker centre but we got lost instead...so we went all the way up 3 floors pushing the trolley. People were staring at us, probably thinking what are we doing at the basement level. When we went to check-in our luggage, we were super pissed off. The tour manager of another group was in front of us but most of her group members were behind us. She simply ignored us and asked her members to cut the queue. Dark clouds were looming over my dad's forehead. That's not good for the start of a trip... My parents tried to reason with them but it was no use. In the end we just waited and waited. How dumb is this? Changi Airport should so something about this. This is seriously unreasonable. Maybe they should treat these people like pri school kids and just build some metal railings for each counter to make people queue up. Boarded the plane at around 10.30pm and off we go! I slept all the way on the plane because i was having motion sickness again. Argh.

5/12
Reached Korea at 5+am Korean time.

Incheon International Airport looked inferior compared to Changi Airport. It looked more like some simple domestic airport. We met our guide there who is a Korean Chinese. We quickly went to change into winter costume because the temperature outside is near 0 degrees Celcius. We bought some doughnuts from Dunkin' Donuts. Speaking of this, everywhere we went in Korea, there seems to be a Dunkin' Donuts shop there. Almost like Mcdonald's here but there were much more. These Koreans realy like to eat doughnuts. Back to the topic, we were real funny. When we were supposed to go out and board the bus, me and my sis and mum went in the wrong direction and were panicky until my dad found us. There were 35 people in our groups which i later came to knowledge that our group have 4 manys. There were many females, many youngsters, many birthdays and many teachers! Because there were many teachers, our group was quite disciplined and noone was ever late. We were divided into a few groups, some were families, some were friends and couples. The largest group consists of 8 young people, 5 gals and 3 guys. There were 3 couple among them. To my surprise, 6 of the group were Malaysians teaching Chinese in Singapore who got to know each other when they were sent to Taiwan to study Chinese by MOE. Funny. There were also two familes with two daughter, another family with an only daughter, my family, a pair of good friends which one of them was Indian, an old couple and another quite large family which i still don't know who's who even now. Anyway, the guide was humourous. There was another woman who was our photographer and she is really nice and helpful. Our tour manager was from HongKong and he migrated to Singapore 15 years ago so his Chinese is a little different from us. OKay, i think i babble too much and you guys are probably faling asleep. Sorry! I am really naggy! Okay, okay, i will continue now.

Our first station: Mt seorak.
We stopped a few times during the journey there.

Bus at the rest station.

One fo my fav, fried sweet potato! But it's much harder than fries because it is too dry...

The tap water at the stations was so cold that my fingers felt like burning.

This is our lunch.

Mushroom steamboat. Yucks.I love the fishcake like thingy though i don't really like to eat fishcake. I hated the other side dishes which were mostly kimchi and squid. Yucks.

Mt Seorak.

This is the entrance.

After 5 hours, we reached Mt Seorak. Mt Seorak was supposed to have the nicest scenery of all in the trip. We were supposed to go Jeju on the first day but due to some problems our itinerary was changed and we seriously regretted that. First reason, when we hopped out of the bus, i immediately froze into an popsicle. According to the news, the weather that day and the next was abnormal and i agreed to that because it was really bone-chilling there! The wind was super strong and the temperature there was about -5. The wind was so strong that even i was nearly swept off my feet. Thanks to the wind, we can't take the cable car to the peak and missed a lot of nice scenery. I only managed to take some pictures because once i took off my gloves to take photo, it immediately went numb... And i was dumb enough to think that the patch of dirt on my finger was frostbite. Hehheh. These were all me and my dad got. Only both of us dared to take off our gloves to take pics. Maybe because me and my dad got more oil under our skins to keep us warm. But he got more than me because he took most of the photos here. LOLs. You don't believe it? Look down.

Terrorist Fashion No.1.(there's more to come!)

They have their cameras with them too but they were too busy trying to keep themselves warm. Guess which one's me? We were all wrapped up, ready to be Christmas presents!(Okay, this is a really bad joke.)

This Buddha was facing North Korea, as a representation of South Koreans who wish that the Korean Peninsula will be united again in the future.

We stayed no longer than probably half an hour and everyone escaped into the bus...

After that, we went to check into our hotel. It's called Kensington Stars Hotel. It looked quite grand but i got no time to take photos and people were blocking me.

Outside view.

Registration counter. The whole design was quite elegant and magnificent, but i couldn't take much of it.

This piano, if i remember correctly, was almost a century old.

There was another piano which was playing on it's own and my sis thought it was some ghost. There was actually a machine controlling it.

Me, my sis and my parents were crazy enough to go out again in the evening. It was still super cold and we hid in a shop while looking around for souvenirs. When the wind started to die down a little bit, we rushed back to the hotel.

We went for dinner at around 7. It was Bibimbap, something like claypot fried rice but with lots of veggies. Yucks. I love the special sauce there. I don't really know what sauce is that, but i heard that it's made of fermented beans or something like that. My mum told the guide i don't eat veggie and he immediately asked the cook to prepare two fried eggs with rice for me. After i ate one, the cook decided that the egg was too burnt and changed another two eggs for me. After dinner, i went to use the computer. This was the only hotel that provided free internet access...

Hehheh, that's my bro there. The flashlight made the room looked dark. Oops.

6/12
Morning call at 7. I just slammed the phone when it rang, only to know that someone was talking on the phone instead of some machine. Oops. I love the buffet because there were fries! Yum! Then we were off to YongPyong.

YongPyong: This is the place where Bae Yong Gun and Cui Zhi You(i don't know her name, so this is just the Chinese pronunciation of it) shoot their famous Winter Sonata. Neither of our group was a big fan of it though. There was a cable car there which was where they shoot one of the scenes in the show. The story of the cable car was super funny though. When the show was broadcasted, one crazy fan of the show who was an aunty noticed that the cable car they sat in was no.14. The news got out and lots of people went there to take turns to sit on cable car no.14. The manager there was exasperated and decided to display it instead so that everyone can take photo of it...How funny!!!

Ta-daa~ The famous cable car no.14!

After that we took the cable car up to the peak of the skiing slope.

Some random pics me and dad took.

There's a hut there called Dragon Hut or something like that. It was super freezing there. Imagine -20 degrees with hurricane-like wind. It's even colder than a freezer! I only managed to take some photos because my fingers were almost disabled and my phone kept shutting down on it's own because it was too cold there. The scenery there was quite nice though. But i don't have much pics to show you. I quickly ducked back into the hut and bought a hot chocolate after taking the photos.

See! It was so cold that my fingers were numb and my phone went bonkers, so the pic is blurry.

The fireplace in the hut.

Random pic.

Tadaa! The famous Bae Yong Gun and Cui Zhi You...

After that we went down and went for lunch.

They leave the fish outside to dry them up during the winter. These fish are used to cook our lunch.

We went to rent skiing costumes after lunch. Before we went to ski, we checked into the hotel called Dragon Valley Resort.

The lobby.

And i am ready to go skiing!

Then we are ready to ski!!! We didn't take much photos because we were busy learning to ski. The photographer took some for us, but i am too lazy to scan it into the com now. Hehheh. It was really funny because a lot of people were sliding backwards as they cannot control their skis yet. Everyone was like 'Whoaaaaaaaa', 'Ahhhhh, I am going down!', 'Help me!' and 'Ah!'. I am proud to say that i wasn't one of them, because i was using my pole to hold onto the ground, hehhehheh. It was quite easy to learn though, and soon almost everyone was enjoying it. Super tiring to go up the slope to ski down though...

Can you see who's who?

Me and my dad.

Me!

Me, sis and mum by the frozen river beside the resort.

Then we went to the indoor waterworld. Played Lazy River, Wave Pool and slides there. It was still cold though the water was warm. And then here comes the challenge. To go to the jacuzzi pool, we have to be totally naked. Everyone was hesistating, while the Koreans there looked at us like aliens. Hey, they were used to it what. In the end, we went in bravely! Yeah! But we were still hiding under the water most of the time. But we still have to bathe naked...No photos, duh!

After that, we went for dinner!

When we went back to hotel, we just watched the Tv until we fell asleep.

7/12
Next day, we went to Seoul for a while first because our flight to Jeju was scheduled at 4pm. It was snowing on the road but we couldn't stop so....ahhhhh! The scenery was very nice! Sigh...

After 4 hours, we went to the "Nu Ren Jie" which literally mean Woman Street. I guess you know what's there already. Clothes! Shoes! Bags! My family was totally bored because it's not practical to buy the clothes there as they were all winter costumes... So we just walked around to find food.

A photo on the street.

My fav! Imagine thick version of Pringles but much nicer!

We went to eat lunch at a nearby restaurant. The Teppanyaki Chicken Rice was super nice!

Yummy!

After lunch, we went to Gimpo Domestic Airport and off we go to Jeju!

It was quite late when we reached Jeju. We immediately headed for our first destination there. Dragon Head Rock.

Do you see any dragon head lookalike there?

After that we went to another shopping street again. It's situated underground. And it's all clothes, shoes, bags and cosmetics again. Super bored. But i regretted not buying a pair of boots there because my mum heard that the boots there are really cheap and nice... Whatever.

The underground shopping centre.

After that we went for dinner. Seafood dinner. Each person have to pay about S$40!!!!Crazy!But quite nice except it's a waste of money for most of my family because we don't really like to eat seafood except for my dad.

Appetisers.

Main dish. Those are raw fish slices. We don't dare to eat them raw so we cooked them in the steamboat...

Crabby: HIIIIIII! WE ARE THE CRABS FROM KOREA!!!!

The super yucky raw octopus. My dad's the only one who dare to eat it...Okay just kidding. Not so big la!

The feelers(or whatever is that disgusting thing) will suck your tongue if you don't chew it and let it be in your mouth. WTH. When it stopped wriggling, we added wasabi to it and it started wriggling again. So fun.

After that we went back to resort. The resort has an island of it's own. Super cool and new. Our group took up one whole building at Bella Terrace. Bella!!!! It reminded me of Twilight and i nearly went crazy. Anyway the resort was so nice i can't describe it with my limited vocab. And photography skills. But i will still show you some pics.

Lobby.

The newly weds we met at the resort.

The Holy Henge. I look quite strange wearing that purple shirt.

The field beside Bella's Terrace. My dad's hand is trembling. Maybe because he felt cold or the wind there was too strong.

The living room.

The kitchen.

The sleeping room.

The dunno-for-what-but-prolly-it's-for-changing-clothes-and-connected-to-balcony room.

The toilet. There's a TV beside the bathtub! But i forgot to take a photo of it.

8/12
Next morning we went for a delicious buffet. There's a lot of varieties! After that we went to climb Sunrise Peak. Of course we didn't watch sunrise because the time was late and the sky was gloomy. I was the first to reach! Mainly because others were taking photos while climbing. I wanted to go up first so i can take photos with noone blocking. Sunrise Peak is actually a dormant volcano peak. Now trees have grown on the crater. I spent about 20 mins reaching the peak. The hill is just a little higher according to the guide.

View from the peak.

I went over the wooden fence and got scolded.

The crater.

Everyone was buying the chocs like crazy after we came down from the hill. My mum bought so much that the chocs filled the whole mini-sized luggage. That's where i bought my souvenirs for MOTP. I don't have enought budget to buy for many people, because i spent most of them to buy my dear dear teddy bear. Ahhh! I love teddies!

Erm, back to the topic, we went to an orchard to take photos after that.

Hehheh, my head's hanging there like a ghost right?

Uh i think this is better?

Then we went to the cultural village.

Our guides.

The black pig. They were kept in the 'toilet' in the past. When the guys wanted to use the toilets, they had to bring along a stick with them to keep the pigs away or the pigs would think that the guys' thingy was a food...WTH.

This village is also where they shot Da Chang Jin.

We went to a seaside after that. I can't be bother to explain how those lava rocks formed their shape. Just check the photos.

How they were formed!

The columnar joints.

After that we went to see the waterfall but too bad the weather was too dry and the waterfall looked pathetic. We then crossed the Fairy Bridge and we were off to the Teddy Bear Musuem!!! Yay!

Fairy Bridge.

I love the TBM!!!! I took 131 photos there...I will just put the cute and special ones here.

Entrance.

Snow White and the seven dwarfs.

Superman.

Tarzan?

Marilyn Monroe.

Elvis Presley.

Charles and Diana.

The bear with diamond(or gold? Forgotten...) eyes.

My fav!!! Alfred from Princess Hours.

Also from Princess Hours.

LV Bear. The most expensive teddy bear costing 229,783,793 won.

Smallest teddy bear in the world.

I bought my dear dear Ah Bwear at the musuem too! 22,000 won... My bear is constantly changing his name though... Isn't he cute??? Awwwwwww... I am totally in love with him!

There were so much more but i am really lazy to upload them...

After bidding my dear Teddy Bear Musuem goodbye, we headed to Lotte Hotel.

Main building.

View from my room. Yep, that's an ice rink there. This hotel was the place they shot 'All In'.(though i dunno what show is that...)

But they have a seriously stupid design. My room was among the very end of the level, and guess what, we took almost 3 minutes to just walk to my room! We have a bend here and then a twist there, then a bend here again! WTH. Moreover, we were dragging our suitcases! However, the hotel looked grand. And they have a lot of shops like LV, Chanel and blah blah blah branded things that i don't remember. And the young adults in the group chiong to the casino right after they carried their suitcase back to their rooms...Anyway i was bathing half way when my dad came to rush me because we were going to catch the 'volcano show'. Argh. I forgot to wear my long john and nearly froze because i didn't want to wear my jacket. I duno what i was thinking anyway... The show was quite okay, only to trick kids that kind of level. After i watched Tv then went to sleep.
